As students plan for their spring
semester, U.S. Senator Tim Johnson is now accepting applications for
spring internship positions in his Washington, DC, Sioux Falls,
Rapid City and Aberdeen offices. College sophomores, juniors
and seniors are encourage to apply for Johnson's spring internship
program. College credits or a stipend are available. To
apply for a state office internship, please call toll-free at
1-800-537-0025. To apply for a Washinton, DC internship,
interested students should submit a cover letter, resume, references
and a writing sample to:

South Dakotans who need help
kicking the tobacco habit can receive free help with the SD Quitline.
Previously users paid half the cost. The quitline is expanding
the number of times tobacco users can receive help and services up
to 3 times. Call 866-SD-QUITS. (1-866-737-8487)
Governor Rounds has begun a
program that offers $10,000 in reward money for information that
leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone who intentionally
starts a wildfire in South Dakota. A toll free number has been
set up for information regarding fires that were intentionally set.

confidential.
